The Veil CollectivE
Brisbane Bride’s New Destination.
We’re thrilled to welcome The Veil Collective to the Anna Campbell family — a beautiful Brisbane-based boutique brought to life by the lovely Jess, who’s redefining the bridal experience with warmth, heart and a touch of luxury.
We recently caught up with Jess to hear all about her journey into the bridal world — what inspires her, the magic she finds in helping brides discover the one and why she’s so excited to bring Anna Campbell gowns to Brisbane.
How would you describe your boutique and the experience you offer brides?
This was really hard to answer because our experience is incredibly tailored to each of our brides! The boutique is intimate, personalised and quiet in luxury. We believe in quality over quantity. We are experienced and skilled at made to order and bespoke gowns so are able to curate a look for each of our brides that is uniquely her own.
What first drew you to the bridal world?
I first started sketching wedding dresses when I was just 15 years old (and yes, I still have them - they are extremely embarrassing!). Back then, it was the sheer “Wow” factor of a wedding gown that captivated me.
At 21, while studying my Diploma in Fashion Design, I applied for a role as a Style Consultant at a bridal boutique in Brisbane and, the rest is history. I went on to complete my Bachelor in Fashion and continued honing my skills across multiple disciplines, always with the vision of one day exploring the bridal world in new and exciting ways.
What excites you most about stocking Anna Campbell gowns?
The intricacy of the designs! They are beyond incredible and to be able to showcase them in our boutique feels like such an honour. They also fill a gap in our collection and design style that our current designers do not offer which I think is really important to preserve both the specialness of the Anna Campbell brand and compliment our existing designers.
Is there a particular style from our collection that you’re especially excited for your brides to try?
I am obsessed with Alaska - from start to finish it is impeccable but also extremely excited to see Cloud for the texture of the fabric.
What’s your best piece of advice for brides starting their gown search?
Do your research - Tiktok has brides feeling like they are supposed to visit every boutique and try every dress but really it should be the opposite. Book appointments at bridal boutiques that align with your vision so you can refine your style, less is more truly applies to your bridal journey.
Any tips for making the most of their bridal appointment?
Know your non-negotiables. By that I mean, what is a price point you are comfortable with, what do you NEED in your gown and refuse to compromise on. This can really help tailor your experience with your stylist.
