The Wedding Day:

“The morning of our wedding was filled with pure excitement. I stayed in an Airbnb with my beautiful bridesmaids the night before, and we spent that time getting ready together, which made it all feel so special. The anticipation kept me awake until 3am, with a bright and early 7am start to begin preparing for the day.

We opened a bottle of prosecco and made mimosas, which felt like the perfect way to start the morning. I had always heard that something usually goes wrong on your wedding day, but honestly, nothing did. Whether it was love, adrenaline, or just everything falling into place, the day felt seamless.

As my bridesmaids and maid of honour began having their hair and makeup done, it all started to feel real. We were getting ready for a day I had been waiting eight years for—the day I would marry my soulmate. When it was finally my turn for hair and makeup, the experience felt so surreal. The care and attention from the artists made me feel incredibly beautiful, and I couldn’t fault a single thing.

Once I was ready, our photographer arrived and captured beautiful candid moments of us all together, sipping bubbly and enjoying the morning. Then came the moment of putting on my dress. My maid of honour opened the garment bag and was completely in awe. Although she had seen the gown before when she came to Melbourne with me, seeing it again on the day felt just as magical. It was truly stunning. Being six months postpartum, I never imagined I would feel so confident and beautiful in a dress like that.

After I was dressed, we took more photos before my parents arrived. Sharing that moment with them made everything feel even more special. My dad and I had organised a first look, and it’s a moment I will never forget. As soon as we locked eyes, I realised how significant it was—not just for me, but for him too. It felt like stepping into a new chapter of life, one he had always imagined for his little girl.

Walking down the aisle is something I will remember forever, especially the look on my now husband Oliver’s face. He had been so sure he wouldn’t cry—but he was very wrong. We both were. It was such an emotional and beautiful moment.”

Tell us about your journey to find the perfect gown:

“I actually found “the one” quite late in my bridal journey. During the lead-up to the wedding, I fell pregnant and gave birth just a few months before I started seriously looking for my gown. Throughout my pregnancy, I kept coming across Anna Campbell designs and became completely obsessed with them, so when I only had a few months left before the wedding, I knew I had to make the trip to the boutique and see what was possible within the timeframe. After a three-hour drive, I arrived feeling incredibly nervous. I had never tried on a wedding dress before, and I was quite insecure about my postpartum body.

From the moment I walked in, I was immediately put at ease. Frankie made me, my mum, and my maid of honour feel so comfortable and welcome. The attention to detail throughout the appointment, along with the ability to make small adjustments, made the whole experience feel personal and special. The gown I fell in love with was actually the second one I tried on. I had a strong feeling about the first dress, which really speaks to how stunning every piece in the boutique is, but the second one was something else entirely. The beaded detailing and the way it fell so perfectly on my body made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself. I didn’t go in with expectations, especially given how much my body had changed, but that dress completely transformed how I felt. Frankie was also incredibly supportive, reminding me to be kind to myself and helping me see my own beauty during a time I wasn’t feeling very confident.

Because of the short timeline, there wasn’t an option to have the gown altered, but the dress I tried on fit me like a glove. It felt like it was meant for me. The moment I put it on, I just knew. I never thought I would have that “this is the dress” moment, but I absolutely did—and I’m still in awe of it. The craftsmanship and detail were undeniable, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was on the day. It truly felt perfect in every way, and I hope one day I might even be able to pass it down to my daughter.”

Tell us about your favourite moment from the day:

“My favourite moment from the day was seeing my dad for the first time, and then locking eyes with my partner at the end of the aisle—the two most important men in my life (aside from our beautiful baby boy, Henry). The look on their faces is something I will never forget. It’s one of those moments that feels so powerful and emotional, I know it will stay with me forever. There are very few moments in life that feel that euphoric. It was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. Beyond that, the feeling of love in the room that day was truly unmatched. I had expected to feel nervous, but instead I felt calm, confident, and completely present. I trusted myself and just embraced every second, and I think that came from being surrounded by such incredible people. It’s a feeling I still can’t quite get over.”

How was your experience with the Anna Campbell Team?

“My experience with the Anna Campbell team was absolutely phenomenal. I had actually booked another bridal appointment on the same day, and after visiting Anna Campbell, nothing else even came close. It really highlighted just how personalised and special the experience was, and how genuinely cared for you are made to feel. From the moment we arrived, myself, my mum, and my maid of honour were completely blown away. The level of attention and care made the entire appointment feel so meaningful, and in comparison to other fittings, it was on a completely different level.

Frankie, our stylist, felt more like a friend than anything else. In some bridal settings, the experience can feel quite transactional, but this was the opposite. Frankie was so warm, supportive, and genuinely invested in making sure I not only found the perfect gown, but also had the most incredible experience along the way. It never felt rushed or pressured—just thoughtful and personal. I truly couldn’t fault a single thing. The entire experience was unforgettable, and I’m so proud to be an Anna Campbell bride.”
