Sizing & alterations
Choosing your size
If you intend to order your dress at our Melbourne flagship boutique, or at one of our trusted Australian or international stockists, your in-store stylist will be able to assist you in selecting the correct size. When ordering your dress, your stylist will be able to assist you in selecting the closest size to your body, prior to alterations. Our dresses are available in sizes from XXS - XXL
Our Online Stylist, Bek, is always available to assist you with sizing via email. To choose your correct size, please ask a friend to assist you in taking your measurements, then use our sizing guides to select the size that best corresponds to your measurements. If you would like assistance, our Online Stylist is always available to help you choose your closest size via email.
Please note that all Anna Campbell gowns are made to a standard length. If you believe you require extra length, please contact our Online Orders Manager by email who can discuss this with you.
Will I need alterations?
All collections excluding the 'Ceremony Collection'
If ordering a dress from our core collections, you will require minor alterations upon receipt of your dress, including to shorten the hem and secure the straps to the perfect length, as well as any minor adjustments you might prefer.
If you purchase your dress through our online boutique you will need to source these alterations privately. We usually recommend allowing at least three weeks before your wedding for alterations to be completed.
A ‘How to Tie’ guide specific to your dress is included on the product page for your dress in our online boutique. How your dress is tied will dramatically affect how your dress fits and sits on your body.
If ordering a dress from the Ceremony collection, alterations should only be required to hem the dress to the perfect length. Please note that if purchasing a dress with horsehair braid or other trimming, this will be shipped unattached to your dress. This reduces the time and cost of alterations, as the trim can simply be attached once the dress is hemmed to the correct length.
Sometimes small tweaks may be required to the fit of the bodice underlay to ensure it is sitting beautifully, but these can be performed with ease by a trusted seamstress. Please email our Online Orders Manager if you have any questions relating to your alterations and we will be happy to provide advice.
