quality & terms
The dresses and accessories that make up our “Sample Sale” have been used as samples in the past, either in-store, in photo-shoots or have toured as part of our Trunk Show Collections. This means that they will not match the quality standards of our brand new gowns and accessories, and the generous discounts offered are reflective of this!
If you are looking to purchase a brand new dress or accessory at full price, you can do so by visiting one of our Collections pages by visiting our boutique in Armadale, Victoria Australia, or by locating your nearest Anna Campbell stockist.
We have created this guide as a general representation of the quality of the gowns and accessories on sale, as we are not able to photograph each dress or accessory individually. Some pieces have very few or no imperfections at all, and are very close to a brand new dress – others have been a little more loved!
There are no further images available, and no refunds or exchanges available - so please choose carefully!
Each dress has been graded with a Quality Ranking from 1 being the highest quality through to 3 being the lowest.
Please carefully read the Quality Guide below, as all sales are final and no further imagery is available.
Quality Grade 1
In near new, or new condition. As with all dresses on sale, there still may be light signs of damage which may include (but not be limited to) small marks and pulls, discoloring, missing beading, damaged embellishments, fabric and lace.
Quality Grade 2
Of medium quality. Showing greater signs of damage, which will include (but not be limited to) small marks and pulls, discoloring, missing beading, damaged embellishments, fabric and lace.
Quality Grade 3
Of poorest quality. Showing the greatest signs of damage, which will include (but not be limited to) marks and pulls, discoloring, missing beading, damaged embellishments, fabric and lace.
Examples of what to ExpectThe following photographs have been collated to show you what you can expect from your sample sale item:
Above: missing, or loose beads. Your dress or accessory may have a few beads missing. Each beaded dress will be sent with a small, randomly selected pack of beads. If you require more beads than supplied in your rescue pack, you will need to source these privately.
Above: General marks and signs of wear and tear. On an accessory these may be on the silk ties of the belt, or on the inside of the combs. On dresses, these marks will be found on the inside of the straps, on the inside of the dress around the waist line, and most prominently on the hem of the dress, as shown above. All of our dresses are made to be nice and long, to fit almost all of our brides. Unless you are very tall, the likelihood is that you will need to get your dress hemmed, in which case you will be removing the dirtiest part of the skirt. We would also recommend considering having your sample sale gown dry-cleaned before your wedding.
Above: close-up images of pulls in lace and silk from wear and tear. These may be found throughout the silk and lace fabrics. The tulle in our accessories may have small pulls, tiny holes and imperfections.
It is important to note that sizes marked are indications only, due to samples naturally stretching over time with wear and tear (particularly for Quality 2 and Quality 3 dresses).
Alterations & Repairs
The items you are purchasing will not be available to be altered by Anna Campbell, and any alterations needed must be sourced privately.
Anna Campbell does not provide dry cleaning services, and most samples will require professional dry-cleaning prior to your wear. We recommend selecting a local specialist bridal dry-cleaner for the best results.
Anna Campbell, its boutiques, and staff are not responsible for any post-sale service regarding any sale item.
How Do I Tie My Dress?
There is a How-To-Tie Guide for most dresses in our collection. These are available on the Anna Campbell website, or you can request a copy be sent to you from your stylist. Every sample sale dress listing includes a link to the How to Tie Guide for that dress.
Are there extra charges or taxes for international orders?
When shipping a wedding dress overseas there may be additional import tax fees for you to pay once it arrives in your country. This charge is not included in the shipping fee paid to Anna Campbell and will need to be paid to the customs office in order to receive your dress, otherwise the parcel will be sent back to Anna Campbell.
This fee is determined by your government's customs office and Anna Campbell is not responsible for the payment of this import tax. If you are concerned, please contact your local customs office to determine what import charges will apply to your wedding dress prior to purchase as we cannot accept returns due to high customs charges.
